tito ortiz-1Jacob Christopher is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently a part of the Combate Americas promotion. [2] Ortiz is best known for his involvement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which was where as an ex- Light Heavyweight Champion and holding the title from April 14, 2001 until September 26 in 2003, he became the Light Heavyweight Champion. He was one of the early stars of the sport alongside fighters such as Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Ortiz was eventually the biggest pay-per-view draw of 2006 for his bouts with Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Ken Shamrock.Ortiz is the chief executive officer of Punishment Athletics MMA equipment and clothing line, which is located in his hometown of Huntington Beach, California.
