
King Von (real real name Dayvon Daquan Bennett) was born August 9 of 1994 in Chicago, Illinois, to Walter Bennett and Taesha. His mother was a single parent. He had three siblings, while from his father , he was blessed with six half-siblings. Because his father spent so many hours in jail, Bennett was mostly taken care of by his mom. The father of Bennett was murdered and assassinated when Bennett turned 11. Bennett had to serve his 16th term in prison. This was the beginning of an ongoing series of confrontations with police. Following his release, Bennett received college credit from South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. Bennett did his best to heal himself after further legal trouble. After his collaboration on the album with Lil Durk, Bennett released "Welcome to O'Block" as his first album. The album released posthumously, titled "What It Means to Be King" was released in March 2022.
