Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author and philanthropist as well as a television host and the owner of the independent free online news publication The Huffington Post. She emigrated out of Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. As the first non-English speaking student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. In the years following after her college graduation, she became a well-known Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political landscape. It was her celebrity that helped to attract several prominent contributors to share their thoughts on news, politics and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. The project she headed was the Detroit energy-efficient vehicle project.
