Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actor best known for hosting the popular daytime talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she grew up in Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl was raised by the midst of a challenging family. She was a troubled child. childhood taking care of her sister Frankie who was afflicted by polio. She was in problems with her mother as she was growing up. Sheryl claims that in an instance when her mother stabbed her father after he became close to her. Sheryl, after graduating college was drafted into the military. However her interest lay in comedy. She was the first female winner of the Miller Lite Comedy Search in 1989. Her TV professional career started in 1992 when she was a guest participant on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. In 2000, she hosted The show Oh Drama! The show has also featured her as a host on The Talk since 2011. She's appeared in fictitious series like Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
